| INSOMNIUM: Θλιμμένες μελωδίες death metal! |
Το 1997, σε μια απομακρυσμένη πόλη της Φιλανδίας , το Joensuu κάποιο έφηβοι metalheads συγκεντρώθηκαν για να παίξουν δυνατή και έντονη μουσική και αποφάσισαν να φτιάξουν ένα μελωδικό death metal συγκρότημα τους INSOMNIUM, για να ακουστούν πέρα από τα μεγάλα τεράστια δάση της Φινλανδίας.
Μετά από δύο δεκαετίες θα χαρακτηριστούν ως μία από τις καλύτερες και πιο αναγνωρίσιμες μπάντες του είδους τους (melodic death metal) και θα φτάσουν αισίως στο 8ο στούντιο άλμπουμ τους (Heart Like a Grave).
Μέσα από τις συνθέσεις των INSOMNIUM ξεπηδάνε έντονα συναισθήματα και δυνατές μελωδίες που ταιριάζουν απόλυτα με την θεματολογία των στίχων της μουσικής τους , καθώς απεικονίζουν το σκοτάδι, τη θλίψη, την απώλεια, τον πόνο και τη φύση.
