| ELOY - Σταθερή αξία το συγκρότημα μέσα στον χρόνο |
Η ατέλειωτη ιστορία της μουσικής έχει αναδείξει πολλά συγκροτήματα που έχουν κάνει τρομερή επιτυχία και έχουν γράψει με χρυσά γράμματα το όνομά τους στον κόσμο της μουσικής, αλλά και σπουδαία συγκροτήματα που έχουν αδικηθεί και δεν έχουν πάρει το βαθμό της επιτυχίας που τους αξίζει.
Στη δεύτερη κατηγορία ανήκουν οι Γερμανοί progressive rock ELOY που ξεκίνησαν στις αρχές του 1970, ηχογράφησαν πολλούς δίσκους (πάνω από 20 δίσκους) και είναι ενεργοί μέχρι και σήμερα (3 δεκαετίες μουσικής).
Ο αρχικός ήχος των ELOY είχε μια hard rock απόχρωση, αλλά σύντομα μεταφέρθηκαν σε έναν πιο διακριτικό προοδευτικό ρόκ ήχο, επηρεασμένοι από τους Shadows και τους Beatles (στο πρωτοξεκίνημά τους) και μετέπειτα, περισσότερο από το διαστημικό ρόκ των Pink Floyd.
Ο ιδρυτής και το μοναδικό σταθερό μέλος των ELOY, ο κιθαρίστας και τραγουδιστής Frank Bornemann πίστεψε σ΄ αυτό το συγκρότημα , κυνήγησε το όνειρό του και κατάφερε παρ’ όλα τα εμπόδια να αφήσουν οι ELOY το στίγμα τους στην progressive σκηνή και να θεωρούνται όχι άδικα η κορυφαία μπάντα του είδους, ωστόσο η ανάλογη επιτυχία δεν ήρθε!
Σίγουρα, όμως, έχουν γράψει καταπληκτικούς δίσκους που ακούγοντάς τους μας προκαλούν ρίγη χαράς και συγκίνησης, καθώς μας παρασύρουν στον φανταστικό διαστημικό τους ήχο!!
