Ο Σκωτσέζος μουσικός και τραγουδοποιός Mike Scott είναι η καρδιά και η κινητήριος δύναμη των Waterboys (ένα βρετανο-ιρλανδικό φολκ ροκ συγκρότημα) που δημιουργήθηκε στο Λονδίνο το 1983. Τον Mike Scott , σ΄ όλη την μακροχρόνια μουσική του πορεία τον πλαισιώνουν, κυρίως, μουσικοί από τη Σκωτία, την Ιρλανδία, την Ουαλία και την Αγγλία.
Οι Waterboys γνώρισαν φοβερή επιτυχία και άφησαν το στίγμα τους με διαχρονικές επιτυχίες στα μέσα της δεκαετίας του 80 με τραγούδια που χορέψαμε, λικνιστήκαμε και παρασυρθήκαμε στην έκσταση του ρυθμού τους!

Ο ανήσυχος Mike Scott όλα αυτά τα χρόνια έχει αλλάξει μουσικές κατευθύνσεις και οι τελευταίες του κυκλοφορίες κυρίως από το 2017 μέχρι και την κυκλοφορία του τελευταίου άλμπουμ , πέρσυ τον Μαΐο 2022, με τίτλο 'All Souls Hill' είναι γεμάτες με synths, loops και τεχνικές παραγωγής hip-hop με μια σημαντική απόκλιση από το οργανικό ροκ.
